These settings are available in system.settings and are autogenerated from source.

temporary_files_buffer_size

Size of the buffer for temporary files writers. Larger buffer size means less system calls, but more memory consumption. A value above 1 GiB is reduced to 1 GiB.

temporary_files_codec

Sets compression codec for temporary files used in sorting and joining operations on disk. Sets of IN that spill to disk do not compress the files that their lookups read, whatever this setting is, because decompressing the blocks that each lookup reads costs more than reading the larger files. Possible values:
  • LZ4 — LZ4 compression is applied.
  • NONE — No compression is applied.
