# obfuscate_markov_* session settings

> ClickHouse session settings in the obfuscate_markov_* generated group.

These settings are available in [system.settings](https://clickhouse.com/docs/reference/system-tables/settings.md) and are autogenerated from [source](https://github.com/ClickHouse/ClickHouse/blob/master/src/Core/Settings.cpp).

## obfuscate\_markov\_determinator\_sliding\_window\_size

Size of the sliding window in the source string that is hashed to seed the RNG in the `obfuscate` table function's Markov model.

## obfuscate\_markov\_frequency\_add

Constant added to every count in the `obfuscate` table function's Markov model to lower probability distribution skew.

## obfuscate\_markov\_frequency\_cutoff

Frequency cutoff for the Markov model used by the `obfuscate` table function: buckets with count less than this value are discarded.

## obfuscate\_markov\_frequency\_desaturate

Value in `[0, 1]` that moves every frequency in the `obfuscate` table function's Markov model towards the average to lower probability distribution skew.

## obfuscate\_markov\_num\_buckets\_cutoff

Cutoff for the number of different possible continuations for a context in the `obfuscate` table function's Markov model: histograms with fewer buckets than this are discarded.

## obfuscate\_markov\_order

Maximum context-buffer size used by the legacy Markov model for the `obfuscate` table function. The model records contexts shorter than this value, preserving the semantics of the standalone `clickhouse obfuscator` tool. Must be in the range `[1, 1000]`.
